Nagarkot, a sleepy village in the outskirts of Kathmandu located at an altitude of 2175 meters, affords majestic views of some of the highest mountains on Earth. Mt. Everest , 8850 meters is visible from here and so are other peaks of the central Himalaya , including Gauri Shanker, Langtang, Choba Bhamare, Dorje Lakpa and Ganesh Himal.
